| This passage includes lots of questions, but this one is probably the most important of them all – Jesus condensing the books of law into 2 simple commandments. This craft is uses a simple box mechanism to rise the question and then in turn the answer given. Must mention Hattifant’s dinosaur craft that introduced me to this mechanism! |

For this craft you will need the PDF printout (1 page per child), scissors, & a glue stick. For printing in Colour PDF – one page For printing with No Colour PDF – one page |

Add whatever extra decoration you wish then cut out the 4 pieces. There is extra background behind the Sadducee’s and Jesus’ head to make your cutting easier, older children can remove this if they wish. |

Time to get folding. The long strip goes into a box tube by folding along the dotted lines. |

The 2 speech bubble supports have their tabs folded so the point goes towards the bubble. |
 |
Take the bubble piece with Jesus’ answer on it and add glue to the side of the tab with no printing. This will be attached to the very middle section of the strip. |

The flat edge of the bubble piece should lay flush with the top of the strip and the fold’s should meet at the top. |

The other bubble piece is added in reverse on the back of the blank end strip section |

Add your characters by adding glue onto the middle part of the white area, being careful not to glue outside the fold lines. |
 |
Lastly add glue to the outside blank end strip section and connect your tube. you’ll need to fold your speech bubble support up to add the glue! If you find the mechanism sticks try sliding the flaps so they are resting on the opposite sides of each other. |
