Essential Teachers notes:
This passage tells two stories, one about Paul and his confidence in preaching the gospel, the other about a hard working couple whom this story focuses on. As always this story is provided as a guide, do use the idea and specifics woven into your own words.

Tent making is a lovely springboard topic so hunt out those old sheets and play some typical camping games if you have any. If you have access to a tent why not take the whole lesson inside one, even a makeshift tent will really set the atmosphere.
Professions – a simplified charades game. Cut up the profession cards provided and place them into a bag. Have the children pull out a card and act out the profession. Sounds and words are allowed for younger groups.
Timed Tents – divide the kids into teams of five or less and challenge them to make a tent. Provide chairs, a single sheet, pillows and a few decorations. Be clear they have a time limit of five minuets, use a visible timer. Let the children sit in their tents for the story or continue to improve them in the activity time.

This worksheet all about Priscilla & Aquila’s story. From their encounter with Paul to their gentle instructing of Apollos. It is designed for multiple age groups though non-readers will have to work with an adult. It is best completed in small groups.
To complete this worksheet the children need need colouring pens, pencils or crayons.

| This is a really simple paper construction for three different types of tent. If you only want to make one model then choose your tent according to your age group, the time you have available and the number of leaders you have. The harder tent is still quite simple : the ages below are a rough guide imagining a group of around 10 children accompanied by one or two adults with a craft slot of no more than 15 minutes. |
